A few years ago, it was my personal experience with stem cells that gave me the determination to launch this company. I was struggling with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), an incredibly debilitating illness that had literally brought me to my knees. Extreme fatigue and intense pain were part of my normal daily life and I had genuine concern about my ability to care for myself in the near future. Through the 25 year struggle with RA, I remained optimistic but my hope and resolve to regain the life I once lived were fading.
A phone call from a loving friend and her encouraging support was the catalyst that provided the opportunity to have a stem cell procedure that has profoundly changed my health and life. The remarkable repair work of stem cells stopped rheumatoid arthritis from ravaging my body and in February of 2010, I received the most exciting news. The RA was remission for the first time since being diagnosed more than two decades ago and I felt like I had conquered a giant.
My recovery through stem cells charted my life’s new course and today it remains my passion to support others in providing options that were not available just a few years ago. There isn’t a more rewarding work to be involved in than watching others improve the quality of their life and health, an experience that is as marvelous as my own recovery.
There is so much more to be discovered about stem cells then we know today. Stem cell research is in its infancy and in the years ahead I’m confident treatments and even cures will wipe out many of the devastating diseases many bravely live with today. Personally, I didn’t have years to wait and traditional medicine offered no real solution for my condition.
